SchoolNet Africa seeks a dynamic and efficient Program Director who will work closely with its Executive Director in leading the organisation in its exciting programs and projects.

REQUIRMENTS

Interested applicants need to meet the following requirements:

• Must have knowledge and experience with the ICT environment in Africa

• Must have knowledge and experience in the education and ICT enviroment in particular,  in more than two African countries for at least one year

• Must have project management experience

• Must have experience and skills in fund-raising

• Must have experience and skills in forging partnerships with a variety of stakeholders in government, the private sector and the donor and development community both in Africa and internationally

• Must have had a tertiary education

• Must have an ability to work in a team and a co-operative environment

• Must have had at least 5 years working experience

• Must be prepared to travel extensively especially within Africa

• Must be of African origin and be based in an African country

Preference will be given to candidates who speak French

CONTRACT

The Program Director will be hired on contract for 21 months, pending the outcome of an initial 3 month probation period. Salaries will be commensurate with experience.

LOCATION

The successful candidate will be based in the Johannesburg office of SchoolNet Africa.
