Global Teenager Project News update

Over the last one hundred and thirty days since the change in management a lot of good things have occurred. We are able to welcome on board teams from The Gambia, Cameroon, Togo and soon Botswana, Angola, Madagascar, Rwanda and Gabon.

The March Learning Circles ended with 76% successful participation in terms of time and quality of content produced by learners. Two thousand eight hundred and thirty – five (2,835) learners and teachers from 23 countries took part in seventeen (17) English and French Learning Circles.

The Understanding Diversity activity for 2020/2020 is near conclusion with most pairs having submitted their exhibitions which are available online at www.globalteenager.org/virtualcampus.

From June 6th to 11th, 2020, the yearly Johan Kooij Fellowship (JKF) workshop took place in Pretoria, South Africa. Majority of the GTP team, including Facilitators, Coordinators and Programme Managers (27 participants from 22 countries), got together to get to know each other, strategise for the future, identifying challenges and areas of improvement. The programme content was well balanced with good team building processes, in a warm environment where everybody felt comfortable, enabling good and responsive participation, resulting in a productive event. More details are available in the upcoming JKF report.
